Friends of Belvoir Park/Sumsion Gardens

Friends of Belvoir Park/Sumsion Gardens is a community group that works to:

- promote the protection and preservation of Belvoir Park as public open space parkland;
- promote the protection and preservation of the social, economic and environmental value of Belvoir Park including the flora, fauna and features (scenic, archaeological, geological, historic or scientific);
- educate and inform the community about the role and value of Belvoir Park; and
- foster community involvement in, and enjoyment of, Belvoir Park in accordance with the above objectives.

The group has a range of planned activities including:

- information evenings where we hear from interesting guest speakers;
- monthly committee/planning meetings held in a casual environment;
- waterwatch and cleanup activities;
- facilitating National Tree Day plantings;
- working with council and the community to plan for the future of the park; and
- social get-togethers

MEETINGS: The LAST THURSDAY of each Calendar Month at 6:30pm. (Phone for location)

PARK CARE DAYS: Held the Saturday morning of the weekend which occurs before Thursday Monthly Meeting (refer above).

COST: Membership is free (Donations are always welcome)
